The Bird Cafe

Lovely little spot we stumbled upon after a hike up Bamford edge. The portion sizes were generous and our paninis were well filled and delicious (the onion jam was stunning) - lovely place to just sit and watch the birds through the window. The staff were so friendly and they really made the visit, so nice to see such wonderful hospitality! - would definitely recommend a visit!

I had an absolutely wonderful time at the bird cafe over the weekend. We were lucky enough to get a window seat and were able to watch the birds and squirrels feeding which was very entertaining! Delicious coffee and cookie and wonderful food. The new owners are very friendly and welcoming and I can’t wait to see what they do with the place. We will definitely be returning.

What a lovely relaxing place to visit. I'm sure it was named a herb centre many years ago, so it's nice to see it called The Bird Cafe as it is the birds that have possibly made it a cult cafe to visit. The food and cakes are great as well, however it is the feathered friends that steal the show. We relaxed and ate for an hour. I had the beef lasagne, which was filling and got a mince shortbread to take away. There is also a great farm shop on site for gifts, chocolate and plants. Nice morning out.

I still can't believe I had no idea this gem existed until recently. This was my second visit and my new favourite cafe. The food is delicious, the staff are so friendly and welcoming and of course the views are unbeatable! Such a gem and only half an hour drive from where we are in Sheffield. I found out that has recently changed hands and I got to meet the new owners (who are also so lovely). There have already been changes made between the first time I visited and today and I much prefer the decor! I can't wait to see the progress of this wonderful place.

Brilliant spot. Food was lovely and sitting next to a window where the bird feeders attract all sorts of birds is just brilliant. The Staff were friendly a d we had a nice relaxed lunch here watching the animals.

Had a lovely lunch stop today at the bird cafe! Food was fresh and delicious. This place has a wonderful atmosphere and friendly staff. And of course seeing the visiting birds up close by the window makes it a truly unique cafe. Would give more than 5 stars if i could. Definitely recommend and returning again!

We stopped here for breakfast on the way to a hike. Its so bright and colourful inside as you pass through the shop area to get to the seating for the cafe. We were greeted immediately,the staff are really friendly and welcoming and the food was great and reasonably priced . Its well named as outside there were many bird feeders some even attached to the windows giving you the perfect view of the birds close up. I would definitely recommend and I will make sure to visit again when I'm back this way.

Lovely little spot for lunch! Me and my partner went here before a hike up the peaks. We both had jacket potato with tuna which was just what we needed to fuel us for the day! Only thing was they had no chilli topping left which was disappointing but working in hospitality myself I know this cannot be helped at times, so this was not a problem! Lovely views out the window and has a lovely little gift shop! We also tried some freshly baked goods which were delicious so whoever is in charge of baking these you are incredible! highly recommend x
